Alex Pall Of The Chainsmokers Reveals How The Band Became A Success

For most DJ-based bands the path to success is well defined but offers a limited view of a future career which is often spent as the background for a better-known singer who fronts each release from an individual or duo. One duo stepping out of the DJ booth and bringing forth a new level of public image for those who look to follow in their footsteps are The Chainsmokers; the former DJs are playing a major role in establishing their own image in relation to the public under the guidance of founding member, Alex Pall and changing the process of producing electronic music.

Alex Pall recently explained the process of developing an electronic song used to consist solely of a DJ employing a songwriter to create a song before it was worked on by a vocalist and the DJ over a short period of time. The Chainsmokers have changed this way of creating electronic music by attending songwriting sessions with established writers and having an input into both the content and development of songs produced under their name; the duo, Alex Pall, and Andrew Taggart, have recently appeared as vocalists on their own songs and put their decision to sing their own songs down to the fact they play such a major role in the writing process.

Becoming a success was not always an easy thing to do for a DJ partnership such as The Chainsmokers with Alex Pall explaining he had previous musical collaborators before he and Andrew Taggart became the most successful version of the duo. Pall had already become a success as a New York DJ when he met Taggart and an instant friendship was developed which has seen them work together on their musical ambitions daily from 9 am to 7 pm most days. Already known in New York as a leading DJ, Alex Pall gives Andrew Taffart high praise as a top producer of music who compliments the marketing and image talents of Pall himself which allows their partnership to continue to flourish.
