Although Charlamagne Tha God has been co-hosting The Breakfast Club since 2010, he’s been in the radio business for much longer. His opinions can be considered controversial and that’s one of the reasons why so many people enjoy listening to him. As one of the most popular radio personalities, it was only a matter of time before he commented on Eminem’s album Kamikaze.
Another huge reason why Charlamagne Tha God commented on the album is because he was actually mentioned on the track The Ringer. He doesn’t actually see the line about him as a diss but he did want to defend himself and talk about it on Friday’s show. Eminem said that he hated on everything but Charlamagne insisted that he just tells the truth. It might come of like he’s hating but he doesn’t sugar coat anything and says it like it is.
He also talked about the other artists that were dissed on this album. He commented on a line where Eminem came off as homophobic and talked about that line not just being aimed at the artist but at all the gay people in the world. He said it can be seen as hurtful and offensive. Go To This Page for more information.
Even with some of the offensive lines, there are some that Charlamagne completely agrees with. One of those is the line that actually calls out Trump. He thinks that Eminem was using his “White Privilege” to stand up against prejudice. That’s something that a lot of people just don’t do.
All in all, Charlamagne likes the Kamikaze album and sees Eminem as a legend and one of the greatest rappers that there has ever been. He was happy to hear a good album after Eminem’s last album, Revival, ended up being less than what fans were expecting. Regardless of what was said on this album, Charlamagne will always be an Eminem fan and believe that he’s one of the greats.
