Jeremy Goldstein is the founder and a partner of Jeremy L. Goldstein & Associates, a law firm based in New York City. His law firm is focused on providing legal advice to chief executive officers, management teams, and compensation committees.

His advice is usually sought when a company is engaged in some type of transformative change such as a merger or acquisition. He is also involved with the American Bar Association. He is the chairman of this organization’s Mergers and Acquisition Sub-committee.

He says that his type of work is very time consuming. He has to be available 24 hours a day for his client’s especially as he addresses very important topics for his client’s such as whether they should take a job or not and what type of compensation they should ask for.

He spends a lot of time advising clients as well as negotiating employment terms and drafting employment documents. Jeremy Goldstein says that due to how intensive his job is he only accepts working on a limited number of matters at any one time.

When asked how he makes himself an effective attorney he says that he take a lot of time to really get to know each of his clients. By really getting to know them he can offer very good advice. He often contacts clients even when he is not working on an active case. He says that staying in touch people know he is interested in them and will turn to him when they need legal help in regards to where they are working and how they are compensated.

Jeremy Goldstein has now been in the legal field for over 20 years. He started his own firm four years ago. Prior to this he had been an associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP for one year.

He then worked for another prestigious law firm, Wachtell Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where he was employed for 14 years. He rose to being a partner at this firm before deciding to take a risk and start his own legal practice.
